VIRGIN ISLAND TAXI FARES

These are the official taxi fares (current as of August 2001) as deemed by the Taxi Commission. Officially-licensed taxis have a dome light and their license plate begins with TP in St. Thomas, JP in St. John, and CP in St. Croix.

The airports are serviced by multi-destination vans that may carry up to 12 passengers. Make arrangements in advance if you wish to take a private taxi from the airport.

ADDITIONAL CHARGES

Radio calls have a 33% surcharge, plus an additional $1.00/passenger.
Between the hours of midnight and 6:00 a.m there is an additional charge of $1.50 per person.
An additional waiting fee of 50 cents per minute is charged after the first five minutes.
Baggage is charged at 50 cents each after the first piece.
